Brief introduction to SAFEI: The Siddhartha Art Foundation’s Education Initiative (SAFEI) was created by the Siddhartha Art Foundation to enhance and help develop the contemporary art scene in Nepal. The focus of this educational program is to enhance knowledge and skills and improve critical thinking in the arts using workshops, and collaborative learning.
Through SAFEI, artists, writers, curators, and cultural practitioners will work collaboratively on projects exploring such fields as art writing, curatorial practice, and research. Through its workshops and public programs, SAFEI will improve the professionalism of the arts while simultaneously providing opportunities for public understanding of contemporary art in Nepal.
SAFEI creates opportunities for collaborative learning between members of an art community and, ultimately, will help to create a more connected, informed, and sustainable arts community.
