Siddhartha Art Gallery, in collaboration with ICA Gallery from Jaipur, Rajasthan presents an exhibition ‘Collective Expressions from India.’ The show features the works of twelve contemporary Indian artists.

Curated by Hem Rana, the exhibition presents harmonious yet diverse narratives that captivate viewers and encourage them to embark on a journey through the multifaceted realms of beauty and abstraction. According to Rana, the exhibition brings forth the artists’ unique perspectives, skillfully interlacing a narrative that transcends individual boundaries and fosters a sense of unity amidst diversity.

C.R. Hembram’s exploration of the indigenous Santal culture serves as a poignant reminder of the richness and diversity of India’s culture. In contrast, Mahesh M. Mankar’s introspective artworks delve into the complexities of contemporary society, offering a commentary on the moral dilemmas and societal norms that govern our lives. Amit Kalla’s art transcends traditional boundaries, inviting viewers on a journey into the recesses of the artist’s mind. Vasanthula Rama Krishna's cityscapes offer a glimpse into urban life, capturing the dynamic interactions between people and their environments. Himmat Gayri draws inspiration from Rajasthani folklore and folk art, infusing his drawings with a sense of whimsy and spirituality.

Moreover, Manoj Darekar also explores urban spaces, challenging traditional notions of landscapes, and inviting viewers to delve into the subconscious realm of the cityscape. Tarannum's abstract paintings serve as symbolic depictions of the mind’s search for inner peace. Through his use of colour and composition, MD Suleman pays homage to the religious traditions of the Indian subcontinent. The works of Sunirmal Maiti compel viewers to look back to tradition to find an idiom for the future.

The paintings by Meghansh serve as vessels for surreal expressions of the human mind. Shrikant Ranga's contemporary figurative paintings integrate modern disruptions with traditional Indian miniature art, celebrating tradition while resisting cultural obsoletion. Ravi Thakur’s mixed media works explore the state of the mind, namely, feelings of isolation and loneliness.

Each artwork serves as a window into the soul of its creator, inviting viewers to explore the depths of human experience and reconnect with the universal language of art.
